The Full Scottish Experience

I absolutely loved everything about Scotland. We came, we saw, we conquered. Ready to hear of my adventure?

Original Whisky?

So we had gone to a Scotch Whisky Experience. FUN FACT: Whisky originated in Scotland and as soon as the world knew of it, starting with Ireland and America, it changed the term “whisky” to “whiskey”… Or at least that’s what they told us. They also taste very different!

We also made it a tradition to do a tasting in every trip we have. It’s pretty cool because we obviously get to test our taste buds but still have a good time. *insert winky face* Don’t worry, we will walk it off later!

Isle of Skye

Gosh, I love Mother Nature!

We took a tour around and stopped at Isle of Skye. The landscape, scenery, everything… blew me out of the water. Oddly enough, my favorite pictures are landscape-based.

After all the pictures, because you know, that’s our talent, we walked around and ended up in a beach. And then took more pictures.

Side note: I know many people say that you don’t live in the moment if you’re constantly taking pictures, but I prefer remembering the moment because I can always go back to it and think of what we saw, what we were doing and how much fun we truly had by just spending time together. But maybe that’s just me!

Indoor Adventures

The Riverside Museum was very cool! As home of the Glasgow Museum of Transport, it definitely impressed me to see over 3000+ objects of Glasgow’s richest past. Being an award-winning museum also helped. I was very impressed with everything it had to offer.

Ferry to the Lochness

Maybe the Lochness Monster truly exists and we’ll never know? We went on a hunt to find it and of course, no luck.

We ended up at an ice cream shop.

And to think that would be our last adventure of the night… I think not.

After the ferry ride, it was difficult to find a ride home. We had to use some international data to figure out our way back. Boy, was it more difficult than we’d hoped. There were only certain amounts of buses and cars going in the direction we needed and none were headed there. We finally located transportation after almost two hours of waiting, hoping this ice cream shop wouldn’t close. Thank goodness it didn’t, but we would’ve been stranded if it had.

Wrong Side

Thankfully there was still light out, so it wasn’t so bad. But as you can see, the driver definitely drives on the opposite side of the car! Weirdo…

Only Luck

The group I traveled with were the best and SO patient! I appreciate traveling with people like these because it’s always the little things that count!

I hope you have as good of a time as we did. Can’t wait to hear of your adventure!
