Make Your Juices Green Again

Throughout my training, I’ve had time to explore multiple smoothie options. Especially with my new blender!!! (Shoutout to my sister and her boyfriend for my Magic Bullet!)

I’m always on the lookout for something new, especially since it’s always my post-workout drink. So I’ve come up with a few green smoothies to keep your tummy satisfied and on the move to a healthy lifestyle! *Keep in mind, I don’t add any extra sugars. It’s all pure vegetables or fruits with a water or milk base. These recipes in particular are all water based. Ingredients may vary with each drink, depending on the serving you are aiming for. Here’s the first:

Green-ish Vibes

  • Spinach
  • pineapple
  • lemon juice
  • blackberry
  • blueberry
  • banana

I tasted the blackberries and blueberries more than the other ingredients and added more spinach to balance it out. If you prefer a certain taste, I would use more of that ingredient to satisfy your buds.

Sour Greens

  • Spinach
  • Kiwi
  • Green apple
  • Lemon juice
  • Pineapple

What you see is what you get- SOUR! All these ingredients blended well because they all have a similar taste. You don’t even taste the spinach, so you could definitely add more if you wanted to. I enjoyed my sour greens!

A Hint of Celery

  • Celery
  • Lemon juice
  • Kiwi
  • Spinach
  • Green apple
  • Carrots

Even though I only put half a slice of celery, it was the most dominant taste. I think the green apples came in solid second of the sourness of it all, but everything was freshly added and no sugars were added in the making of this smoothie juice!

Creating these smoothie-juice masterpieces can be so much fun. I always prefer them fresh out of the blender, because then you’ll have it rise to the top and it’ll just be liquid at the bottom of the cup. Or I’ve also had it frozen, which you can eat like ice cream the next day.

Enjoy the good good!! Your body needs them one way or another! You can try other recipes if you liked this one too.
