Lexington, Kentucky: Made it to the Square
We pretty much walked the whole city of Lexington as much as we could. Luckily, one of our friends had brought their vehicle, so it was nice to explore outside of just the perimeter around the city. Somewhere along the lines of bourbon and walking too much from the hotel, we made it to the town square for some history fun.
The first spot we went to was the Visitor Center in the Lexington Historic Courthouse and followed the trail. Here’s how it went:

We didn’t end up going inside of Abe’s house but we definitely went around it. All the historic sites we visited were either closed or trying to figure out their schedules post- covid.

En Route Architecture Spots
The Rupp Arena had construction going on around it, but if I could sneak in, I would have. The first act was back in October of 1976 with 20,000 guests on opening night. The space was even set to host Elvis Presley live in concert in August of 1977, but he passed away a week before scheduled.

The Outdoors
The newest activity I’ve done in a while– Keeneland Race Track. I’d definitely like to experience a Kentucky Race Derby one day though. To dress with that cute hat and outfits like Queen Elizabeth wore on the daily.

I think we might have over done the activities a bit, but all very different and fun! From the outdoorsy things to visiting historical structures to seeing how Lexington, Kentucky came to be.
