Experience Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm in the Greater Chicagoland Area

At Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm and Fall Fest, it’s a whole other extreme for Pumpkin Patches. Expect more than just pumpkins, because you’re in for a wild ride! Can you believe it’s only open for what feels like less than a month?! TAKE ADVANTAGE! SO worth it!!!

We went for a family outing and were so excited to ride rides, eat apple cider donuts and take photos (my favorite part). The donuts were so good, that they were devoured in two seconds and as you can see, I got a small pic before it was down the tummy. So worth the $10 for a 6 pack- THE BEST KIND OF 6 PACK! 😉

Pumpkins Everywhere

We were surrounded!!! It was pumpkins galore but not to sit on, so I totally finessed that. There was even a little area to weigh the pumpkins you wanted to purchase. I had never seen anything like it before (besides the grocery stores).

Nothing Beats Angles

Imagine the detail the owners put into this every year. In 2019, it’s only open from Sept 29 to Nov 3, can you imagine!? There were SO many people there and the acres of cars were endless. But if you need a cute place for pics and quality time, this is a great opportunity!

Just look at these pics:

Side note: the apple cider beverage was YUMMY! Like the midwest people really know the way to your tummy heart.

Lights, Camera, Pumpkins!

I wish there weren’t as many people in the pics but it was definitely worth it with the pumpkins. My ALL TIME favorite season is fall, especially the month of October. The leaves changing colors, all the fall outfits and just enjoying that chilly breeze of 35 degrees, but who’s counting?

Unexpected Attractions

We saw some unexpected activities like A CORN POOL and A PIG RACE!

WHAT WHAT WHAT

My cousin was obsessed with the corn pool and I didn’t really understand because I wasn’t about to have corn run down my body with a backless top, but I definitely felt I lived vicariously through him and the corn! AND OMG THERE WERE PIG RACES!! It was incredible to even think pigs could race in real life- I thought that was only in the movies! But it was SO cute because there were so many enthusiastic people in the stands and the crowd went wild!

Side note: there are even some kid-related roller coasters, little date tractors to ride on, and FREE photo ops! And the churros were SO good!!! Especially the apple cider ones!

Honestly, I still remember in Kindergarten when we used to eat the pumpkin seeds and after seeing these pumpkins on the floor, that’s all I wanted to do. It’s crazy to think I still even remember that but obviously, it left a good impression to want to try them again. Maybe this season will be my chance!

To say the least, I absolutely loved the experience and being able to just have a family day! We walked around and were there for about four hours, wishing we were there longer.

Tips:

  • Entrance fee was $22 per person, but WELL worth it!
  • I suggest you go with closed-toed shoes. There’s grass and dirt everywhere!
  • The address to the place is: 13341 W 151st St, Homer Glen, IL 60491. You’re welcome!
  • Go in with your “ready to take photos” outfit and get excited for all the photo ops!!!
  • Try everything apple cider!!! It may sound different but it was the highlight of our day to eat all things apple cider related- the drink, donuts, churros, etc.
  • Enjoy the day with your family!!!! And maybe bring a portable charger too…

I can’t wait to go again next year! We had SUCH A BLAST!
