The first time I visited Dallas, Texas, I told myself I wouldn’t come to visit again unless I visited other cities. We came to the convention center for volleyball tournaments and all the buildings surrounding the area were gray and closed early. We had to order pizza before 6:00PM to be able to have some dinner. Mind you, the tournaments usually ended at 8:00PM or 9:00PM… so our luck was minimal.

Boy, did I judge HARD. I visited Dallas for a seminar a couple of weeks ago and it changed my whole perspective on the city! As my friend picked me up, I noticed the buildings were all a nice red brick, there were plenty of plants for shade and that abstract view of flowers… it was all so beautiful and perfectly placed. It felt like we were looking at Dallas during the fall season- so many colors!

We were told Yolk was the place to be for brunch. It was no Yolk 😉 that the recommended place was great before we met up with the rest of the group. I had the nutty monkey cakes which were sweet peanut butter-layered pancakes with banana slices and chocolate chips. Have you gotten hungry yet? It gets better! My friend had the chicken n’ waffles, that had crispy fried boneless chicken breast, sausage gravy, sunny side up egg and warm syrup on waffles.
