Our friends hosted a #charcuterie board night and let me JUST SAY that we should’ve won first place. Still a little bitter 🤣 We got there fashionable late with @fiveguys fries, @raisingcanes fries, & @whitecastle sliders and they were DEVOURED!

Disclaimer: first time I had @raisingcanes because it’s a Midwest thing 🍟 although I feel like I got half the experience 😂

Bringing a taste of #Miami to #Naperville, one croqueta at a time 🤣

I went home this weekend and, of course, had to bring back @pinecrestbakery pastelitos. Despite Tyler almost devouring them all, I managed to save a few to share at work!

I don’t think I’ve ever explained croquetas this much in my life 🤣 Next time, I might need a cheat sheet with pastelito definitions to make my life easier. If my money is going anywhere, it’s on introducing my coworkers to the magic of Miami’s pastelitos (or pastries)!

Before my trip, a colleague asked, “What can you get in Miami (or Florida) that you can’t find here?” Naturally, we started with CROQUETAS!

One of my 2025 #NewYearsResolutions is to cook 50 dishes! This is anything from the recipes my fam & friends have written me, the cookbooks I have at my house, anything I find online or other platforms, or anything I find in my kitchen!

🍜 This #ramen recipe is from my brother’s fiancée, @lisamfndz 🤍 After tasting her yummy masterpiece, I knew I wanted to try it for myself. With some tweaks, my first time was not bad.

🍜 Critics say (aka Tyler) that it’s “restaurant quality” & gives it a 4.5 stars out of 5!

I’m honestly just trying to be creative and hold myself accountable. Since food is our love language, we’re trying to incorporate more ‘cooking date nights’ at home.

Went to the @nhlblackhawks x @mapleleafs game with pals. Mostly celebrated Frank Pellico’s retirement game as the organist for 33 years with the #BlackHawks.

Positives:
🌟 @spothero parking at the stadium was more affordable than buying parking when you arrived for their parking. We got $28 pre parking vs at the lots were starting at $30. Could’ve also been because it was a Sunday vs a weekday. Keep that in mind when you go!
🌟 Make sure to scan the ‘designated driver’ qr code for complimentary water… usually $6.
🌟 The bathroom lines for the boys were WAY longer than the girls during intermissions.
🌟 We sat in the 300 sections, in the few rows closer to the top. There’s a secret bathroom for both genders that no one really knew about. I don’t know about cleaner though because there was liquid on the floors but it was solo bathrooms!

Some things we wish could’ve been better at the game:
💩 There was an offsides call the Maple Leafs scored and the refs took their side.
💩 We learned more about the fans behind us than the game because they talked too much. Might’ve also lost an ear from their fierce whistles.
